Elementary and Middle School Learners

At the introductory levels, we start to build a foundation for the language by practicing basic greetings and simple conversations, learning the 'nuts and bolts' of grammar and syntax and picking up a range of versatile vocabulary. We may play games using Total Physical Response (TPR) or charades, watch and discuss or write about short videos, create a menu for a restaurant we make up or dig into fun and colorful grammar activities online. In all cases, the ultimate goal is to SPEAK, SPEAK, SPEAK! The best thing a language learner can do in these stages is to follow their curiosity, be bold, make mistakes and keep progressing.

High School and College Learners

Whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced learner, in these sessions we focus on the grammar and vocab needed to increase competencies in reading, speaking, listening and writing. Using the course curriculum and materials as a springboard for our own pursuits, we may hone your skills using interactive grammar activities, reading, listening or watching authentic content and responding to comprehension and reflection questions, or putting together our own study guides with essential concept breakdowns and unique examples. For all of my students, we try to stay one step ahead of class content so they reap the benefits of 1-to-1 instruction to gain footing and maximize class time to practice further and engrain their application.

Adult and Independent Learners
